Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped make this take back a success. There were quit a few folks who brought in old prescriptions, vitamins, and needles. Many of the folks who filled out a survey mentioned that they would like to see a regular drop site in their town. Port Orford already has a regular drop off at their city hall.
From all three cities we gathered approximately 100 pounds of prescription drugs that could have ended up in the hands of our kids or been disposed of in the toilet which has been shown to affect the wildlife in the watersheds where this happens. Lets work at keeping our kids and water clean and drug free. Thanks to all the folks who brought in their drugs and to the folks who helped make this take back a reality. Happy Spring!
