Samantha Marsh was awarded one of the Coos Bay Surfrider Scholarships for 2020.
Samantha writes: This year I graduated from Bandon High School, with the intentions of attending Oregon State University. I plan to major in Environmental Sciences while studying at Oregon State University. I have always loved the outdoors, but during my senior year I realized that this is something I want my career to be in. I have participated in many beach cleanups and restorations in Coos County and I have found a love for caring and protecting our environment. With an Environmental Sciences degree, I plan to take care of our world and focus on how to keep it healthy. I am so thankful to be a recipient of this year's scholarship, it tremendously helps with paying for college and helping me pursue my dreams.
