The 2014 Stand UP! For the Bay was a smashing success! Over 60 participants showed up to celebrate the South Slough, Oregon’s largest estuary (completely within state lines) and the sixth largest along the Pacific Coast. In addition to connecting with their local watershed, paddlers enjoyed live music, local fair and helped raise over $1800 for the Coos Bay Surfrider Chapter! Proceeds from this event will be used to support their local projects including water quality testing at eight locations through the Blue Water Task Force program. Congrats to Craig Longobardi, his tenacious paddling and steadfast balance earned him the champion spot in the SUP Jousting contest!
