Summer is just around the corner and I wanted to give everyone a head's up for our summer testing dates and a call for volunteers. I'm putting together a call for volunteers to send out via press release towards the end of the month, but I wanted to go ahead and pass this information to our web viewers first. We'll be testing our usual spots (Hubbard Creek, Battle Rock, Port Dock, Garrison lake outfall (when water present) and some additional sites on Mill creek identified by volunteers with Garrison Lake Restoration Committee. By the mid June, we'll have a display and information at the POORT office. Volunteer packets, coolers, sampling containers, and instructions are now available for pick up at the POORT office. June 5, June 19, July 3, July10, July 17, July 24, July 31, August 7, August 14, and August 21. Samples are to be dropped off by 10:30 am in the cooler outside the POORT office.
