Amy Kronsberg was awarded one of the Coos Bay Surfrider Scholarships for 2019.
Amy writes: My name is Amy Kronsberg and I was born and raised in North Bend, Oregon. After finishing high school, I decided to stay and attend Southwestern Oregon Community College and obtain my associates degree in forestry. I am currently transferring as a junior to Oregon State University to study forest management with hopes to make a career of effectively managing public or privately owned timber lands. My love for the outdoors sparked my interest, and now passion, for the forestry industry, which has made my career choice much more enjoyable. With the help from the Surfrider Foundation, I am able to achieve my goals easier and without substantial debt; for that, I am ever grateful.
